Almost 160 years ago, an inquisitive young girl called Alice followed a white rabbit underground into a subterranean realm called Wonderland. Six years later, Alice went on another wild and weird adventure into Looking-Glass House. Now, in 2021, The Royal Mint celebrates Alice’s adventures for the very first time with a two-coin series from the Treasury of Tales. Featuring designs that use Sir John Tenniel’s original illustrations used for the first editions of both books, the coins celebrate the nonsensical brilliance of Lewis Carroll’s timeless masterpieces.
